The hotels in Jibacoa, Cuba

There are only two hotels in Jibacoa, the Breezes Jibacoa administered by the Jamaican hotel chain SuperClubs and the Villa Jibacoa Cameleon (exclusively offered by Nolitours for Canadian customers). They are both located near the sea and share the same beach, Playa Arroyo Bermejo. These hotels do not share services.

These hotels are offered in « all inclusive » packages, meaning meals, drinks, activities, non-motorized sports and other services are included in your travel package. Tips are at your discretion. The policy of the super all-inclusive Superclubs in the resorts in Jamaica includes a tip BUT this policy does not apply to Cuba.

The Breezes Jibacoa is part of the Cuban group Gaviota and administered by the Jamaican Superclubs Breezes chain. The Villa Jibacoa Cameleon is managed by the Gran Caribe hotel group.

Hotel Breezes Jibacoa is for adult only (14 years old minimum). The customers of the hotel are mostly Canadian (English) and the UK. There are also Europeans, but no Italians. They do not seem to be attracted by this destination in Cuba.

It is important to note that these hotels are not located on the Varadero peninsula, but rather 45 minutes drive from the Varadero airport (and an hour from Havana). If you are looking for a beautiful long beach of fine white sand, it would be wiser to opt for hotels in Varadero. The main attraction of Jibacoa is the diving and the tranquility.

Meanwhile, if you want to visit Varadero from Jibacoa, you can either buy one of the excursions offered by tour operators or get there by taxi (roughly 90 CUC return for a taxi, not per person).
