Info-excursion ...
The Caribbean's city of museums ... Trinidad, located in Cuba's southern region was founded by Diego Velazquez in 1514. This city is a local treasure chest that was named « National Historic Monument » and « World Heritage ».
Agricultural and commercial progress were easily attained due to the healthy climate, the accessibility to the Caribbean sea and the fertility of the land. Slavery was dominant at the basis of the city's prosperity.
Trinidad boasts many natural beauties as well as variety of historical relics. After having done a meticulous and patient restauration in the colonial sector, the imperial streets, the churches and the stately residences have regained their look and charm of yesteryear. The tour includes a visit to a ceramics workshop, a museum and a tour of the city of Cienfuegos (in the neighboring province).
